In a nutshell

  1. Besiege by outnumbering; assault a later impulse, with a line home and a clear sea
  2. Ship outside: blocked. Ships inside: need more
  3. Assault: you 1 die per 2 units; defender 1 per unit + 1
  4. Siege breaks when not outnumbering; never lasts the winter
Before you assault: a siege begun in an earlier impulse, a line home, and for a port, a clear sea. At 1:50.
